Commitment to Demonstrate Student Learning

The New Leadership Alliance for Student Learning and Accountability released a publication today outlining strategies that colleges and universities can use to assess and improve student learning. HEDS was among 27 national higher education organizations that endorsed Committing to Quality: Guidelines for Assessment and Accountability in Higher Education. Positions Opening at HEDS Consortium

The consortium has initiated a national search for an Associate Director. We will begin reviewing applications immediately, and our goal is to hire someone in January or February. See more information about this position at Wabash College job listings. We will also begin a national search for the position of Research Analyst in mid-January. The job description will be posted on the Wabash website soon.
February 2012 HEDS Workshop
Institutions are cordially invited to participate in a workshop, Moving HERI and NSSE Data to Action, on February 13–15, 2012 at the Center of Inquiry at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The goal of the workshop is to help institutional teams review and find campus-relevant, actionable information in their NSSE and HERI survey data. Jillian Kinzie (Associate Director of the NSSE Institute), Laura Palucki Blake (Assistant Director of CIRP), Charles Blaich (Director of HEDS and the Center of Inquiry), Kathy Wise (Associate Director of the Center of Inquiry), and a number of Teagle Scholars will be at the workshop to support the teams.
